Why is there a fee to purchase a Treat gift card?
When a merchant sells a $100 gift card for $100, they eventually make money on the sale of goods or services purchased with the gift card. Because Treat doesn't work with most merchants directly, we don't make money when the gift card is used, therefore we charge a fee to the purchaser.
This fee varies based on the value of the gift card, the method of shipping, and the type of packaging. It covers all costs associated with producing the cards, printing the packaging materials, fulfillment, shipping and bank fees.
